I love how the master shows the light in the leaves in this painting and how it passes through the transparent glass. I also love the colours acting like a representation of life and death,a contrast of light and darkness. The music inspired by this painting uses a ricochet (a virtuoso violin bow stroke) to achieve a bright sound and a sensation of eternity and fullness. A solo violin balances low and high frequencies in a beautiful manner. The piece goes crescendo as the harmony become more complex just before it starts to disolve into a lighter atmosphere. In the climax of the piece, an unanticipated melody is introduced as an ephemeral intervention that brings brightness and vigour that suddenly disappear in a gracefully way. At the end, the piece starts decreasing and dies in a smooth fourth interval. (S.B.A)
