Certificates:
Original photo certificate by Ingvar Bergström, Gothenburg, 28 April 1983. After examining the original, Bergström describes the still life as a "quite interesting work by Marinus Nellius". He mentions the signature and the date 1671 and classifies it as an early work by the painter, in which he was influenced by Jan Davidsz. De Heem and Pieter de Ring. Bergström emphasises that the present painting is typical of Nellius in both composition and brushwork.
Certificate by Ellen Bernt, Munich, in copy dated 16 April 1983. Bernt also concludes that this is an "impeccable, characteristic and very early work by the Dutch still life painter Martinus Nellius".

Gutachten:
Original Fotogutachten von Ingvar Bergström, Göteborg, 28. April 1983. Bergström beschreibt das Stillleben nach Untersuchung des Originals als ein “quite interesting work by Marinus Nellius”. Er erwähnt die Signatur und die Datierung 1671 und klassifiziert es als Frühwerk des Malers, in welchem er von Jan Davidsz. De Heem und Pieter de Ring inspiriert wurde. Bergström betont, dass das vorliegende Gemälde sowohl in Komposition als auch in Pinselduktus typisch ist für Nellius.
Gutachten von Ellen Bernt, München, in Kopie vom 16. April 1983. Auch Bernt kommt zu dem Schluss, dass es sich um ein “einwandfreies, charakteristisches und sehr frühes Werk des holländischen Stillebenmalers Martinus Nellius” handelt.
